Data deletion
Last updated 27 October 2026.
What gets deleted
A deletion request removes your account record, every linked sign-in identity, the generated database name, all active web and desktop sessions, and any pending sign-in codes. Nothing is retained afterwards, and there is no backup copy of your record kept for recovery.
How to request deletion
- Send an email to privacy@madcat-os.com with the subject Delete my account.
- Send it from the email address linked to your account so we can verify the request is yours.
- Tell us which provider you signed in with (Google, GitHub or Facebook) if you remember.
We will delete your data within 30 days and confirm by reply once it is done.
Removing access at the provider
You can also revoke our access from the provider's side. This stops us from being able to sign you in, but it does not by itself remove the record we already hold, so please still send the request above.
